I've been enjoying your series on free website resources. Do you know of any sites with tiling background textures that can be used for websites?
The Absolute Background Texture Archive currently contains 5740 different seamless textures that can be customized to fit your needs. The textures themselves are categorized by colors and material, but once you select a texture type you are provided with several different options to customize it.
- Change the color.
- Change the brightness or contrast.
- Apply a variety of special effects.
- Write text on the texture.
- Rotate and resize.
- Apply the texture to a logo or button.
In addition to textures you can also find web graphics, sound effects, and tools to make buttons, logos, and banners. If you do decide to use any of the content of the site, they ask for a link back from your site in return.
